...The fact that writing more than a few sentences of fiction seems to absolutely drain me is depressing the fuck out of me tonight. But on the off-chance that something can someday come of it for me, here it is.

V for Vendetta, movieverse. Post-torture, pre-leaving. It was originally going to involve cryptic attempts at past-sharing on V's part. And it's shit and I've mixed up words, I know it, but hey. Shit's what we're here for.

He's quoting Frederick Douglass's autobiography. Quotation in context is this:

the day had passed forever when I could be a slave in fact. )

The return of marginalia! Or, why AR should not be allowed to draw pretty much evar. ^^;;;

My prof in American Writers today mentioned how, in Nam Le's The Boat, he saw a pattern of feelings--or rather, the lack thereof. The characters in the stories we've read have been in situations where allowing themselves to feel anything more than the very surfaces of emotions would just destroy them. They have to live on the surface, or they won't be able to live at all.

And that made me think of the quote scrawled across the top of this, and that got me a-doodling, because my attention span was low due to huuuuunger, and there I was by the end of class, hoping no one was seeing how ridiculously low-quality my geeky creation was. XD

I left part of my notes because I'm just that enamoured of my own handwriting. I'm so self-interested. >>

the dangerous business of feeling )

...Fuck, I miss pretending to be Evey. ^^;; The fact that she did allow herself to feel again, despite the dangers--God, how amazing is that? Really fucking amazing. I still think it's beautiful.

1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Turn on your music player and put it on random/shuffle.
3. Write a drabble related to each song that plays. You only have the time frame of the song to finish the drabble; you start when the song starts, and stop when it's over. No lingering afterwards!
4. Do ten of these, then post them~.

Title: Questions
Rating: G
Authors Note: V and Evey play a game to which only V knows the rules inside and out. Shamelessly borrowing from my second-favourite play of all time, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead.

Evey Hammond left her bedroom with some hesitation that morning. )
