witticaster: A painting that serves as representation for one of my characters. (sukey poe)
This is not the thing I need to get done, but I'm hoping that, by finishing this, I'll be revved to finish that. I AM WORKING ON IT, I SWEAR. I didn't realize it was going to take this much out of me to get myself to write it, I don't even know what's going on with me. D: So, uh.

Final version of my 10 songs Mya/Sansa fic, ooh. Just in case you wanted the meme one more time--

1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Turn on your music player and put it on random/shuffle.
3. Write a drabble related to each song that plays. You only have the time frame of the song to finish the drabble; you start when the song starts, and stop when it's over. No lingering afterwards!
4. Do ten of these, then post them.

Of course, I cheated and edited and rearranged and so on. Fuck you, I do what I want &cet. The song list in this case (since several of them are lesser-known covers) is:
1. "Peggy-O" by Simon & Garfunkel
2. "You Will. You? Will. You? Will. You? Will." by Bright Eyes
3. "Sh-Boom" by The Crew-Cuts
4. "Beautiful" by Carole King
5. "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love, and Understanding" by Lucy Kaplansky
6. "David's Lamentation" by the Paul Hillier Singers
7. "A Case of You" by k.d. lang
8. "You Make It Seem Like Nothing" by Elliott Smith
9. "August" by Tim Janis
10. "On A Day Like This" by Elbow

[livejournal.com profile] minviendha did it, and I wanted to, too, but it feels horrendously self-centered (WHICH IS NOT TO SAY LISE IS OR ANYTHING just that I am easily embarrassed), so I figured it belonged over here in self-centered-writing-land. XD

Answer the following questions about the fic you have written.

1. Reply to this post, and I will pick six of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk write a drabble about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee.

icon meme concluded, or WHY AR SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO WRITE Y:TLM FIC )

Oh, let's be honest, cut text. This is why I shouldn't write any fic. -______-;;; Most of them don't really have endings, I know, and might or might not have anything to do with the icons, and you can tell that I did them out of order and lost my attention span after a while, and and and YOU KNOW, they are just kind of eh. But they're something, probably.

That first sentence meme--post first sentences from various WIPs, et cetera.

I've decided to give these no particular explanation (that is to say, am not including theoretical titles) because it's more fun that way (read: I suck at titles). If for some reason, you want further information about any of them, you need only ask. ♥

• "Ruthie Rutherford, aged forty-three years, ten months, and three days, had been a server of suppers at the Diner's Delight Delightful Diner and Cafe for approximately fifteen of those years."

• "Chuck stretched, back arching as catlike as the suit she currently wore."

• "Up to sunset, the Hudson glittered like the surface was a sea of diamonds instead of a polluted river, and Calla hated it."

• "Many years later, far from a city she could no longer bear to visit, she watched the last dregs of sunset drain away from a wide window a dozen stories above the street."

• "it is a balancing act with purpose"

• "take note: shakespeare didn't use them."

I've left off WIPs that I've posted, because what're you interested in those for, you know? You can read them already. XD

In conclusion, there's a reason most of these are still WIPs. >>
