"Will," Tharkay murmured, leaning over in his seat until his mouth was warm on the curve of Will's ear. Even so, his voice was only just audible over the white noise of the plane's engine, leaving Will straining to make out his words. "I am going to the lavatory. Wait three or four minutes, and then follow me."
Will frowned at this directive, glancing down the aisle to the facilities in question; what Tharkay meant of this, he was not precisely sure. In similarly low tones, he asked, "Whyever for?"
Tharkay's teeth found Will's earlobe and raked over it in exactly the way Will had hoped against, with the ease born of decades spent practicing. "This is a very long trip by plane," came Tharkay's voice; Will found it more and more difficult to keep his breathing even, as Tharkay's fingertips settled lightly upon his upper thigh. "That's why."
And then Tharkay stood up, walking casually down the cabin. With a sigh, Will glanced down at his watch, silently urging the next four minutes to pass quickly.
