That time William and Archie talk about artses.
"What's this?" asked Archie, pulling out a three-ring binder and flipping through the contents. "Stuff you drew when you were a kid?"
William glanced over at it, a smile of remembrance crossing his face. "Stuff Lucy drew." He paused a moment, thought on it, and, figuring Archie would demand an explanation anyway, said, "She was only two when I left home; first Mum would let her draw on the backs of letters, then she'd insist on sending me pictures. I had enough to paper my berth with them twice over by the time I met you and Horatio."
Archie grinned, but down at the childish artwork, which he was still paging through with great interest. "Why didn't you mention them? Some of these are from well after we met."
"Same reason I don't read you my letters aloud," William answered, rolling his eyes.
Tsking dismissively, Archie rolled his eyes right back, then paused at one of the drawings. "A lot of these're you and her."
William shrugged. "Lucy was never very subtle."
